Michael Brown

Michael J. Brown is Associate Director of Philanthropic Service for Institutions (PSI), where he serves the fundraising training and consultation needs of Seventh-day Adventist nonprofits. He also founded Targeted Insights, LLC.—a nonprofit marketing consultancy. He has leadership experience in marketing and research for Fortune 500 and Global organizations including: Verizon, Hallmark Cards, and The Dallas Morning News.

His agency experience includes serving as Senior Vice-president KMA-Pursuant Agency as well as Client Services Director at Rapp Collins Advertising Agency and Stratmark Advertising Agency.  His blue-chip client accounts include: Wycliffe Bible Translators, Moody Bible Institute, Northwestern Radio Network, Mercy Ships, Feeding America and several others.

Michael is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Leadership at Andrews, earned an MBA in Marketing & Finance from Tulane, and a B.A. in Mathematics & Computer Science from Oakwood.  His publications include Outcomes Magazine (Christianity Today)—“Brand Building: Essential Paradigm Sifts for Today’s Ministries” as well as contributing author in Successful Fundraising: A Guide for Nonprofit Organizations (Advent Source), Diversity and Fundraising (Wiley), and acknowledgement for his seminal work in A Guide for Local Church Stewardship Leaders (Advent Source).

Michael and Lauralee are the proud parents of three daughters (Christian, Olivia, and Lauren) and one son (Michael, Jr.).  Michael is an avid Bible Bowl coach, lover of poetry, and enjoys tinkering around on his bass guitar.
