VIDEO CONTEXT:
The National Lets Move initiative launched a “video context” for churches to send their stories on how they are making their communities healthier last month. One of our churches submitted the video which was accepted and is now waiting for the community votes. We are delighted to see how the Filipino Capitol SDA Church in Beltsville, Maryland, is touching the lives of their own kids, youth and families, as well as making an impact in their community. Please watch their short video and also VOTE for them. This is a video that showcases what a faith-based community can do to prevent and reverse childhood obesity. We need as many people voting for this video as it is the only SDA video in the contest. Others submitted videos but they did not meet the requirement criteria. So lets ALL vote EVERY DAY in order to really show our support! Please send this to your friends and family to also vote. The deadine is May 11 only, after that they will count the votes and see which one had to most votes. Every vote makes a difference!
The link to vote is below (the name of the video is “Healthy Kids Lifestyle”:

REPORTING YOUR MILES
We have doubled our goal for this year based on last year’s results, so 2 million miles is our “bold” goal. However we can only reach that if ALL of you not only report your own miles but also encourage your family, friends and fellow church and community members to do the same. Please go to
www.adventistsinstepforlife.org and make sure your miles are up to date for your own individual account, as well as for your church, school or hospital. Your miles, kilometers or minutes of activity can make ALL the difference.

SAVE THE DATE – Adventists InStep for Life 2012 Awards
We will celebrate the participation of individuals and organization in the 2012 during a special award ceremony in
New York city, on March 16, 2013 (SAVE THE DATE). Make sure to let us know how you are impacting your communities by reporting it diligently online (activity, gardening, etc) and also by sending us news, videos, or any other way to tell your story. In the fall we are also going to launch a special
Adventists InStep for Life (AISFL) award for students attending Adventists Schools (grades 1-8) who meet the AISFL “Lifestyle Challenges”. More on that will be introduced at the NAD Education Convention (August 2012).
May God continue to motivate and encourage you to choose a full, healthy life daily and also to tell the world sharing the benefits with others.
