Response to the Tornadoes
Indiana ACS DR Coordinator, Al Currier, reported that operations at the multi-agency warehouse in Jeffersonville, IN have begun. ACS DR experienced Warehouse Management Volunteers are coming from Michigan and Dakota Conferences to assist. Many truckloads of donations have arrived at the warehouse and the volunteers are sorting and getting them ready to ship to locations that serve the survivors of the recent tornados.

The Tennessee warehouse operation will begin receiving its first truckload of donated goods on March 8. Terry Haight, Georgia Cumberland ACS DR Coordinator, reports that there are several more semi-truckloads waiting to unload.
Marvin Lowman, Kentucky-Tennessee ACS Director and Jody Dickhaut (former Iowa ACS DR coordinator), pastor in Louisville, KY, are working with the State of Kentucky to find a suitable location to assist the survivors in West Liberty, KY. Sharon McKenzie reports "The Louisville area will have a trained ACS unit up and ready to go by Friday. 90 people attended the first of two certification classes this evening given by Pastor Jody Dickhaut. "
